A beautifully spacious tweed tote Handbag with square corners and two shoulder straps which fit comfortably under or over the arm.

A practical yet stylish size - Adorned with a self-covering button, a quirky asymmetric flap is secured with a buttonhole, lined with fusible wadding to give the bag structure and fully lined inside with complementary fabrics, internal mobile phone  and car keys lined pockets are a must,  35cm (reducing to 22cm at the base).  Handmade by you to make a beautiful gift, if you can bear to give it away!

Make your scarf in an hour and a half, button hole master class half an hour.

Make for yourself or fabulous  prezzie’s for those that already have everything!  What they don’t have is a bespoke, unique scarf handmade by you. 
Male or Female versions available.
You learn how to make your fully lined scarf with buttons, you will have a masterclass on button holes, you will gain the knowledge to make lots more at home for Christmas. 
Skill Level – You will be confident with a sewing machine or you will have completed our Level 1 absolute beginner sewing course.

You will take home one finished scarf, your scarf pattern and instructions.

Are you looking for a new hobby?  Wind down after a hectic week, learning to sew , it is relaxing and  very rewarding!  This is our best selling course.

The absolute beginner class is a path onto all sorts of different exciting sewing/dressmaking or crafting projects, we love to show you the basics, take home  your finished projects you are sure to be very proud of.

Skill Level - No Sewing machine, fabric or pattern cutting experience needed.
Setting up your  sewing machine, learn all the basic stitches, reverse, using a pattern make an envelope cushion (cushion pad is included in class) Make a reversible Tote bag, introduction to dressmaking, make PJ shorts. 

All patterns are provided in class and you can take them away to make lots more at home, handmade gifts for your family and friends.

You can borrow a sewing machine(if you do not own one yet) at no extra costs.

Sewing machines are available to borrow free of charge.
Skill level - This course is for beginners who have a few sewing projects behind them, you can thread and use a sewing machine with confidence or you will have completed our level 1 beginner sewing course.
All patterns are included in each class, you can take them home to keep to complete more homemade wonderful gifts for others, spread your sewing love around!
You will learn a huge amount of skill during this course, you wil be making a Car gear stick tidy, A Tote handbag with a zip and buttonholes, a zipped makeup bag.

An excellent progression  from level 1 beginner sewing
OR
You must be able to thread and use your machine with confidence, pin and cut fabric.

NO Dressmaking experience required.
Stevie has a modern, boxy fit, with round neckline and kimono sleeves, closing at the back with pretty ties or button loop. This dress can be shortened or lengthened to suit, above-the-knee, on-the-knee, below-the-knee, with optional turn-up cuffs and patch pocket. Throw it on with a statement necklace and you're good to go!
At the end of your course you will have your Lovely bespoke Tunic dress to show off  handmade by you!
Depending on the class pace the last week may run past 2pm at no extra cost.

One of our most popular patterns, oh so comfortable to wear. Make it dungaree-style with buckles or as a pinafore with buttons, with mini- or knee-length hem, optional centre front split, choice of patch pockets and contrast topstitching.
Skill Level – Confident beginner dressmaker, You will have completed our Level 1 dressmaking course OR you will have a simple dressmaking project behind you.

 

 

 

 

 

Level 1 beginner free motion embroidery

Introduction to Free motion sewing machine embroidery beginner Level 1

Wednesday 6pm-9pm January 23rd  FOUR SPACES

£30.00  per person, £10 deposit required.
The joys of free motion embroidery,  machine stitching with your feed dogs down and an embroidery/darning foot on means exactly that FREE to be as creative as you dare.

You can use you normal domestic sewing machine, no special fancy machines needed.

Skill level - You must be able to thread and use a sewing machine,  NO free motion embroidery experience needed.
Experimenting is exciting, drawing with stitch takes practice and takes a little courage for first timers. Start with a blank piece of fabric and doodle; continuous lines, swirls, circles, curves, zig zags, this will loosen you up, then move onto a picture creation. 

 

Valentine's card and heart bag sewing class

Valentine's Day is such a fun day. I love red hearts and chocolate...and I especially love having a reason to give homemade sassy gifts to my loved ones.

Skill level – You must be able to thread and use your machine with confidence or you will have taken our level 1, beginner sewing course.

 These draw string bags have a fun PVC heart-shaped peek-a-boo window that gives a glimpse of the treats inside. They are fun to make and are perfect for Valentine's Day, Weddings, Birthdays, or anytime you need a little gift for a friend. You could also make a couple for yourself! They're great for storing jewellery or little trinkets and you'll always be able to see what's inside the bag.

Free motion/applique machine embroidered handmade valentine cards, learn the art of  drawing with your machine, learn how to free motion embroidery with your sewing machine, make a gorgeous valentines card with envelope.


 

Make friends with your overlocker

Get to know your overlocker
£50.00 per person £20.00 deposit required.

Saturday 16th February 10am-3pm FOUR SPACES

Beginner overlocking, master the overlocker whilst, making a versatile T-shirt.

You will learn:
To thread your overlocker properly, change your cottons, explanation of all the dials, finishing off, reversing, hemming, 1 and 2 needle methods.

You will take home a finished overlocked T-Shirt.

Skill level - You will have a few simple dressmaking project behind you.  You will need to bring your own overlocker machine, no overlocking experience needed.

Level 1 Quilting

Level 1 beginner quilting 'A Patchwork quilted cushion'

£50 per person, £20 deposit required on booking.

Would you love to learn the art of quilting?  Making the quilted patchwork envelope cushion cover during the workshop allows you to learn all of the stages and skills required to turn patchwork into a quilt while working on a more manageable project. You can then use the skills learned to make a full sized quilt, we would love you to join our level 2 quilting course.
You will learn:

How to arrange your fabric squares and design your cushion front.
How to stitch your patchwork together, then back it with wadding.
How to quilt using straight stitch and stitch in the ditch
How to cut out your cushion backs, binding and labelling, sew your cushion together.

Skill level -You should already know how to thread and use a sewing machine.  No patch work or quilting experience required.

Skill Level - You will be confident with your sewing machine, you will have a basic dressmaking project behind you or you have completed our level 1 dressmaking course.
Winters wardrobe must have is a Classy casual coat, full length sleeves, waterfall front, it is a warm but light weight throw-on to get you in the mood for those chilly days.
You will be surprised how many different looks you can achieve using different fabrics.

You will pin and cut out your fabric correctly, attach pockets, attach sleeves, Learnhow to bind your front edge, seams and hemming using your machine blind hem stitch.

 

 

 

Get to grips with zips

You will learn: Layout and fabric choice, Piecing, adding a border, stitch in the ditch, basic information to free-motion quilting, squaring up and sewing the border, binding, labelling, finishing the quilt.

Learn how to make fully lined curtain sample. You will learn how to measure the window correctly, square off the fabric, add the lining  and attach the header tape.You will make a sample  curtain in this class and have instuctions to take away with you.
