Roman blind making

£120 per person

5+ hours

Love the look of Roman blinds, but never thought you could sew them yourself?

Now you can learn to make your own and dress your windows with style.
With Tamsin at Cambridge Sewing you’ll not only complete your own blind but you’ll have the skills you need to make more Roman blinds in future.

Some sewing classes only teach you to make a simple sample, but with Tamsin you’ll make a complete Roman blind for a small window in your home, giving you a much better understanding on how they are created and put together.
(window size must be no wider than 130cm) if you do not have a small window at home, you can make a blind for a family member or friend, or you can make a sample blind.

You’ll leave this class with one finished blind, in your own choice of fabric

You will leave with instructions so you can ‘go solo’ at home.

Learn how to make professional roman blinds. You will learn how to measure the window correctly, square off the fabric, fully line the blinds, attach the necessary parts to make the blind functional and how to fit it to the window.

Skill level: You will expected to be able to use a sewing machine, sew and cut confidently (ideally be at same level as someone who has completed the level 1 beginner sewing course).
