Introduction to sewing - getting to know your sewing machine

What you will need:-

You will learn how to:-
- Get to know your sewing machine, threading up machine, change the machine needle, Tension and wind the bobbin.
- Practice different stitches, machine stitches -straight stitch and zigzag, starting and finishing off properly, reverse and its function, how to turn a corner.
- Practice an open seam, closed seam and French seam (the 3 most commonly used seams)
- Shorten 2 x sample hems by 1.5 inches using the straight stitch and blind hem stitch on your machine
- Have fun trying all the different styles of stitches on your machine.
