Level 2, Confident beginner Dressmaking
With no darts, zips or set-in sleeves, Stevie is satisfyingly an easy make - Stevie has a modern, boxy fit, with round neckline and kimono sleeves, closing at the back with pretty ties or button loop. This dress can be shortened or lengthened to suit above-the-knee dress, on-the-knee, below-the-knee, with optional turn-up cuffs and patch pocket. Throw it on with a statement necklace and you're good to go!
Stevie includes jargon-busting instructions, helpful sewing tips, and colour photos showing you each step – making it easy for you to create gorgeous clothes you can be proud to say you made yourself.
Also you will learn:
Correct body measurements, cut the correct size pattern pieces, pattern symbols and what they mean, alter your pattern if needed, pattern grading, pinning pattern pieces correctly onto fabric, cutting fabric, you will learn a great deal along the way whilst constructing a garment.
PRINTED PATTERN - You’ll receive a gorgeous printed package containing full scale pattern sheets and a colour instruction booklet, details of where to purchase your pattern along with requirements for this course will be sent to you 3 weeks before the start date.
SKILL LEVEL - You must be able to thread and use a sewing machine with confidence, or you will have completed our Level 1 beginner dressmaking course or have a simple dressmaking project behind you.
